1. The strength of PBT fiber is 2.8~4.0cN/dtex, the elongation is 30%~60%, the melting point is 224 ℃, its crystallization rate is
10 times faster than PET, and it has excellent elongation elasticity recovery and soft and easy dyeing characteristics. 2. The
fiber made of PBT has some properties common to polyester fiber. However, due to the long flexible part on the basic chain link of
PBT macromolecule, the melting point and glass transition temperature of PBT fiber are lower than those of ordinary polyester
fiber, resulting in higher flexibility and elasticity of fiber macromolecule chain.
3. PBT fiber has good durability, dimensional stability and good elasticity, and its elasticity is not affected by humidity.
4. PBT fiber and its products have soft hand feel, good moisture absorption, abrasion resistance and fiber crimp, excellent
tensile and compression elasticity, and its elastic recovery rate is better than that of polyester. PBT fiber has special
flexibility in both dry and wet conditions, and its elasticity is not affected by ambient temperature changes. 5. It has good
dyeing performance and can be used for boiling dyeing with ordinary disperse dyes at atmospheric pressure without carrier. The
dyed fiber has bright color, good color fastness and chlorine resistance. The dyeing rate at 100 ℃ is equivalent to that of PET at
120 ℃. 6. It has excellent chemical resistance, light resistance and heat resistance. 7. The disadvantage of PBT fiber is that its
heat resistance is slightly lower than that of PET and PA, and the strong alarm interest is an obstacle to the application of PBTin the textile field.
